Rode the Train up to Salt Lake
Date with Victor to SLC
I got off work wearied at five. My friend hurried me to over to the train station. I barely missed it, but Victor had gotten off to wait with me for the next one. [Wasn't he nice to keep me company. I was relieved and happy to sit in the quiet sunlight and watch the birds and sunset, waiting and breathing hope for Spring.
We enjoyed the Front Runner together, as both of us could focus on each other instead of driving. When we got to Salt Lake, we hurried to the concert in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square. The performance was my favorite type of music--reverent, heart-felt, fervent choral with piano accompaniment. It was so uplifting and refreshing for me to feel this live performance.
Because we wanted dinner to eat on the train and get home at a decent hour, we left the performance early. We found a shop in the food court that was closing. Because of limited variety, they gave us more quantity, and so they didn’t have to throw as much away. I remembered I left my bags in the Assembly Hall. Victor ran back to get them and I was supposed to meet him at the trolley station with our food.
The Holy Ghost led my feet through parts of Salt Lake I was only vaguely familiar with. I couldn’t call Victor and I had limited time. There was a creepy guy on one corner. God protected and truly led me by His Almighty hand. I got safely and timely back to Victor’s side with good extra food. :)
