| Christmas lights Victor put up |
After throwing up on the carpet of our Subaru once, the puppy continued to throw up the entire trip. I felt really bad that it had to stay confined in a cardboard box that we found behind Sam's Club the whole way. It was so messy when we delivered it at eleven in the evening that we decided we decided we won't be getting a puppy any time soon. Janell observed that we should never get a dog for the sake of the puppy. Despite our best effort, it would be cruel to the dog.
Ironically, both of our families chose to replace us with puppies. Moxleys got a puppy, Koda, this summer, and the Limbs got a puppy, Teancum for Christmas. Although, they couldn't wait until Christmas, and it joined the family the Sunday before and Teancum didn't get a name until several days after.
Saturday night after we got back we had a potluck with both of our families together. Janell's mom made yummy egg rolls and mine made delicious Korean noodles. Christmas eve we had brunch with the Limbs and a band of masked Limbs came and abducted the couch (replacing it with a nicer one) while holding us and the missionaries hostage. Grandma Limb and the missionaries got shot with Nerf darts. Clark Limb and Gerald Maxfield helped us move the old couch to our lair. We celebrated Grant Moxleys birthday with our friend Gwyn Barry, had homemade chowder and played Wii together. Naomi loved the skeleton pajamas we got her for Christmas and paraded around in them a bit Christmas morning. My mom worked hard to put together a bingo night two days after Christmas, which was a fun family party.
Our visit with family concluded with an fun trip to Pinetop, a church owned lodge on the way to Idaho City. It was a Jones family get together with good food and better company. We played board games, went sledding, and camped in our tent and new sleeping bags indoors in the lodge. We had lots of fun sledding and had a exciting spill together on a steep hill. Janell bruised her finger playing air hockey, and just as she finished with the cold bag of snow, another cousin came down with a rolled ankle. The bag of snow was still conveniently cold enough to help her swelling ankle.
